Lauren received her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Governors State University and a Bachelor Degree in psychology and sociology from Northwestern University. Prior to becoming a physical therapist, Lauren worked as an advocate, mental health practitioner, firefighter and EMT. Lauren's physical therapy specialty certifications include Certified Lymphedema Therapist (CLT), Pelvic Rehabilitation Professional Certificate (PRPC) and Certified Yoga Therapist (CYT). She is a board member of Pelvic Health Research Initiative and a research member of International Continence Society and North American Menopause Society. As Governors State University faculty, Lauren teaches Special Topics: Pelvic Rehabilitation Physical Therapy, Wellness and Pharmacology. In 2023, Lauren opened Chez Therese Specialty Physical Therapy to provide pelvic rehabilitation, lymphedema and oncological physical therapy within her community.
