Emily A Bessemer PTDPT, CLT-LANA, PRPC

Emily has always been involved in the healing world, getting her bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science with a minor in Holistic Health from Georgian Court University prior to getting her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Stockton University set the stage of alternative and complementary healing practices. Immediately after finishing up her graduate work, Emily dove in to the world of pelvic therapy. Being diagnosed with various pelvic dysfunctions herself; she saw the need for pelvic floor in an integrated medical model. Emily was lead therapist in outpatient pelvic physical therapy for a community hospital system, CentraState Medical Center and there she focused her work on the gamut of pelvic floor dysfunctions throughout the lifespan. She has been an integral part in growing this accessible program and continues to work towards establishing pelvic floor therapy as a standard of care in her community.
