Laura Luitje PTDPT, PRPC

Dr. Luitje treats adults of all genders and bodies for abdominopelvic wellness including bowel/GI, bladder, pregnancy/postpartum, pain and post-surgery in the abdomen/pelvis. She loves demystifying how bodies work with pain, elimination, reproduction and movement. Her comprehensive approach looks at symptoms in the context of the whole life and whole body of each patient, and accordingly personalized treatments. She addresses the nervous system and beliefs in addition to the physical body to facilitate patient empowerment and success. She earned a BA Cum Laude in International Studies from Macalester College in 2001, and a Doctorate in Physical Therapy with an award in Research Excellence from the University of Rhode Island in 2013. She was awarded the Pelvic Rehabilitation Practitioner Certification in 2020 and has advanced training in abdominal visceral mobilization, peripartum rehabilitation, and rehabilitation for bowel, bladder and pain conditions for all genders.
