I also have my Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Physiology and had experience in teaching group fitness for over 10 years. I am a wife, mom to 2 little girls, and a child of God. Shortly after PT school I began to have an interest in women’s health physical therapy. But it wasn’t until after the birth of my first child in 2016 when I really started to want to learn more about the role of physical therapy in women’s health and pregnancy/postpartum phases. I had my baby and everyone just kept saying things like “well, you’re a PT, you know what to do.” While I did have a great background, these are not the things that they teach you in PT school (I had maybe two lectures on women’s health).
