Lauren ShepleyPT, DPT

Lauren is a board certified physical therapist who specializes in the pelvis and pelvic floor. Her practice stems from a curiosity about and respect for the body and it’s constantly changing needs and desires. Over the past 13 years, this curiosity has led her through yoga teacher training, meditation retreats, LSU-HSC’s Doctor of Physical Therapy program, numerous pelvic floor courses, professional care training in the Arvigo Techniques of Maya Abdominal Therapy, craniosacral training through the Upledger Institute and visceral manipulation training through the Barral Institute. As a result, Lauren has developed her own unique way of listening to the body in order to facilitate a return to balance. Through communication with the innate intelligence of the body, she hopes to encourage individuals to remember and reconnect with their deep inner wisdom in order to create the conditions necessary to heal and to thrive.
